Our Family Vacation to Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville Tennessee

Hey friends!

Who else is quite over this summer heat and feels a perfect fay is spent in a bathing suit somewhere?

The family and I have been truly enjoying anything that includes water and fun this summer so we traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to the Gaylord Opryland Resort for a true water park adventure! This resort is apart the Marriott lineup and is in a class of its own!

Let’s get into all the deats on this amazing resort, shall we…

First of all, the resort as a whole is just breathtaking! From the atrium, to the different sections, to the fact that you literally don’t have to leave the resort because there is so much to do. We stayed in their Cascade section in an Atrium View room and I truly don’t feel we would book it any differently for the next trip. Waking up to that view was perfection indeed. Everything you do can be charged to your room and there are activities for the children to ensure a good time for all. Our favorite was the Lost Treasure Riverboat ride. It’s a seasonal attraction so once the summer is gone, so will this attraction!

Now, there are several restaurants right on property for you to choose from. They have a Mexican, Italian, Steakhouse and several American cuisine dining options. We done at the Italian restaurant, Ravello! I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, Jonathan ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the girls ordered pizza. Everything was so yummy and so filling.

Of course, we have to dive into the water park, Soundwaves! In my 34 years of life and the traveling I’ve done, I’ve never seen a place such as this! Its truly breathtaking. There are rides for everyone and I definitely could have done this water park 2 days in a row if time permitted. They give you water proof wristbands, there are fresh towel bends everywhere and They have plenty of lockers for your belongings.
